0DTE SPX options: what copiers should know about the risks

Same-day SPX options move fast. Here's how expiration, slippage and sizing affect someone copying them.

Why 0DTE is different

Zero-days-to-expiration options can gain or lose most of their value within minutes. A copy that fills a few seconds later can see a meaningfully different price.

Safeguards that matter

Look for price limits on copied entries so you don't chase a fill, stale-signal refusal, and exits placed automatically after your fill is confirmed.

CNKTID refuses copied opens beyond a slippage collar, skips old signals, and cancels opening orders that don't fill in time. Closing orders always go out.

Sizing in whole contracts

Options trade in whole contracts, so a small allocation may round down to zero contracts or up to a larger share of your account than you expect. Check the sizing preview before you start.
