Can you copy trade options in an IRA?

What option strategies IRAs typically allow, and how copying works when your broker supports them.

It depends on your broker's options level

IRAs generally can't use margin, so brokers usually allow defined-risk option trades — buying calls or puts and certain spreads — depending on the approval level they grant your account.

How CNKTID checks

Before copying an opening option order, CNKTID checks that your account's options level allows that trade. If it doesn't, the trade is skipped for that account rather than sent.

Talk to a tax professional

Trading inside retirement accounts has tax and contribution rules. CNKTID doesn't give tax advice.
